IMC 2012 in La Palma The International Meteor Conference (IMC 2012) of the International Meteor Organisation (IMO) took place in La Palma in 20-23 Sep 2012. 110 participants from 25 countries attended this first IMC in Spain after 31 years and some optional days for astro-tourism previous to the conference which included six optional excursions. Thanks to the collaboration of the Instituto de Astrofisica de Canarias, the IMC excursion featured the famous Roque de los Muchachos Observatory (ORM), the best European Northern observatory hosting the Gran Telescopio de Canarias (GTC), actually the largest optical telescope in the world. The IMC2012 was organised by Astro Travels and the Cabildo of La Palma (the local island authority) which sponsored generously this event.
